about
Inspired by Appalachian folk traditions, Black Clouds was written during lockdown, surrounded by misty apple orchards in an old pickers hut in the Huon Valley where Teresa now resides. It tells a story of the healing power of pockets of nature in our backyards that are often overlooked.
lyrics
There’s a place no one knows
Out beyond the apple grove
Where I like to go
When dark thoughts in my head they grow
Oh take them away
The dark thoughts in my head today
Oh take them away
The black clouds hanging over today
This place sets me free
Out beyond the apple trees
Where nature’s mysteries
Take away dark thoughts that burden me
Oh take them away
The dark thoughts in my head today
Oh take them away
The black clouds hanging over today
When trouble gets too much to bear
And life is treating you unfair
I can take you there
And help to take away your cares
Oh take them away
The dark thoughts in my head today
Oh take them away
The black clouds hanging over today
